2012 Spiritual Rising
My Spiritual Adventure in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, winter 2004-05
Adrian Gregori Green aka Solis, Sculptor
Here is some information about the sculpture “2012 Spiritual Rising” which I created at the end of my recent visit to Merida. It is the result of a process of learning about the scientific/spiritual Mayan vision of the cosmos. The more I was able to absorb, the more I became aware of a remarkable correlation of this vision to that of the Ann Ree Colton Foundation of Niscience Teaching which is also rooted in science and the spiritual, to which I have been exposed to for over 35 years. Even a cursory investigation of the Niscience Teaching will lead one into the same cosmic regions that the Mayans explored – and then beyond.
The many similarities I found — certain very exact definitions of the structure of the Celestial and of humanity’s place in the various levels of a hierarchy flowing out of the Godhead and reaching down into our earthly life -- all of this was a tremendous inspiration.
Toward the last of the first of 2 winter visits of exploration I made a drawing. As it expanded I felt a strong urge to put this into stone. From that moment on a quickening of events occurred which included the generous assistance of key people. The stone was immediately secured and placed in a beautiful out door work place. Certain tools were loaned and others purchased and I found myself suddenly, unexpectedly and happily at home again shaping my inspiration into stone! The seemingly miraculous followed and the work was completed in less than two weeks, on the day before I was to fly home.

Transferring the drawing to the stone.
This kind of marble is called “conchuela”,
indicating conchas or tiny shells in it.
