The arts and the environment are wedded, because our environment is what we humans perceive and make of it through all of our arts of living. To give a true assessment of environment it is necessary to have full use of our perceptual abilities. The generally under-developed right side of the brain which gets developed through practice of genuine artistic activity1 trains our perceptions and through its process brings knowledge of another sort from that of conceptual or left brain knowledge. A balanced input of right brain activity into the essentially bipolar processes of our brain and nervous system makes for total cognition rather than a partial one as is the case where one sided development of the brain's usefulness is emphasized. Genuine artistic activity is a completely independent and autonomous way of grasping reality and is an outgrowth of inherent, lawful, organizing, mental processes. This ordering of the individual taking lace through the artistic process which integrates the physical, the mental, the emotional and the spiritual is deeply therapeutic, for it results in the centeredness and the wholeness of the individual. The art participant is made whole through the process of creating a wholeness which is the resultant work of art itself.

- A desire to explore your own inherent image making capacities; thereby generating your own genuine works of art.
- Your regular involvement in ongoing projects of stone sculptor A. Gregori Green
- Non-Smoking is a plus
- Full payment in advance only

- Outdoor stone carving workshop, on premises dwelling
- High Sierra summer camp
- Private river beach on Kaweah River
